After lunch with Grandma and Poppy one day, we stayed in Ocean City to explore their boardwalk and beach. It was different from Rehoboth Beach, in that it seemed less family oriented. But I think it had more to do. It had an area that was a lot like Fun Land, with rides and carnival games. We didn't do much, other than just walk around. It was a gorgeous day.
We came across this awesome area on the beach that had 3 different sand sculptures relating to Christ. The one below is of the Last Supper. They had one of Noah's Ark and another on the resurrection. They were so cool. I don't know how they can get all the details right with sand. It was so impressive.
We had some dessert at a little shack that sold waffle ice cream sandwiches. I need to make this at home.
I loved all the kites that were along the beach. There were some that had to be at least 150 ft long, if not more.
We didn't get into the water but still had a great time. We got a little bit of Dolle's popcorn and headed back to Berlin to meet up with Grandma, Poppy and Eileen.
I loved Ocean City! I would really like to go back and stay a little bit longer. It was a nice date with Blaine. Sometimes when you're visiting family, you forget to have some meaningful alone time. It was great!
