Idaho

Once we moved out, we headed straight to Idaho to visit our family. Declo Idaho is a very special place to us. Our first kiss happened there. We took our engagement pictures there. It's a place where we love to go to relax. I never thought I'd be saying that I enjoy being in middle-of-nowhere Idaho.

While we were there, we ran errands and helped out our family with whatever they needed. Really, it's what we love to do. One of the things I miss most about being at BYU is having family around to help out.

We also went 4-wheeling with PopPop. Um, he's 90 going on 91. Yeah. He's pretty cool. We rode around looking for wild asparagus. We ate asparagus everyday while we were there. It was so good!

We also took a small road trip to Shoshone Falls. It was so beautiful.

This is my only picture with Aunt Jan. I love this lady. She's so great. We always enjoy her company. She's so much fun to be around. We absolutely LOVE her cooking. She's hardworking, energetic, funny, and oh so sweet.

No trip to Idaho is complete without cooking with Aunt Jan. This time, we made these chocolate chip cookies that were just perfect. Here's the recipe.

We also went to the park with Aidan and Cage.

We planted corn with Aunt Jan.

I also had the opportunity of riding a tractor for the first time! Yup. This Miami-girl was on a tractor. I confess that it was actually pretty cool and a lot of fun.

And unfortunately, we had to start our trip back east. We loved being with our Idahoan family. Stories are told. Laughs are shared. We learn from their life experiences. It's just great.
