Houston

Houston was great. The drive wasn't bad at all since we were only 7 hours away. We visited Blaine's cousin Brad and his family (Katie, Tieg and baby Tate).

We went to Market Street one day and rode the trolley with Tieg. We also went to this super cool grocery store called Hubbell & Hudson. It's like Whole Foods, just much cooler. They had the BEST gelato ever. Granted, it was my first time eating gelato. But Blaine agreed that it was the greatest he had ever tasted.

Little man Tieg shopping away.
We spent a lot of time playing with Tieg. He is just so cute. He became our friend pretty quickly. This little kid can sign a ton. So when I signed something to him, we made a connection. It was great to practice my sign language again. We were so impressed with his speech and his balance. He said both of our names perfectly. He would jump all over the place and not fall! You'd just have to see it. But when both of your parents were tumblers, I guess it's just in the genes. Tieg also "read" some books to us. He has books memorized word for word. He'd read the page before Blaine could. It was so awesome.

We also met baby Tate. He is 4 months old. He is such a cutie. I could just eat his cheeks and cute little feet. He would smile easily and was just so much fun to cuddle with. We had a blast babysitting them.

Blaine and Brad went golfing twice. They had some good male-bonding time. And I just loved hanging out with Katie. She's one awesome woman! We have a lot of little things in common. It's pretty funny. We both don't like frosting. She's the only other person I've met who doesn't like frosting! And Katie cooked us breakfast every day that was just amazing. She also showed me how to make pastry dough. Her apple turnovers were so so yummy.

One night, we went to Papadeaux's for dinner. We all ordered fried food without realizing it. But it was really good anyway. We don't get fresh seafood in Utah. The company we were with was even better than the food :)
Cutest redheads ever
We had a great time visiting with our Texas fam. We love them so much! We wish we could visit them more often or just have them close by. Thanks for having us guys!
